Programs & ServicesPreschool and Childcare: InterServ is committed to providing quality preschool and childcare, as well as offering financial assistance to those parents who cannot afford the full cost of care. Our two facilities, Mitchell Woods and Wesley, offer a preschool curriculum with extended hours and provide care for children 6 weeks to 12 years of age.
The Wesley Weightlifters & Southside Youth: InterServ offers an Olympic
weightlifting program, Team Wesley, that produces national champions, Olympic athletes and
world-class youth who know the value of hard work to achieve their goals in
sports and in life. Our youth center offers safe and fun After-School and Latch
Key programs for elementary, junior high and high school youth.
Summer Jam & Summer Spike: Over 2,000 youth participate in our Summer
basketball and volleyball leagues. These leagues give youth the chance to
participate in an organized, competitive and violence-free environment.

Counseling: Trained social workers and staff provide: Parent Aide,
Elderly Counseling, Budget and Financial Management. SNAP Midtown Outreach
improves quality of life for elderly, minority women. Caregiver Support Services provides case management services to
caregivers of the elderly.
Emergency Assistance: Our Food Pantry serves the hungry five days a week.
Rent assistance and utility assistance loans are offered interest free to
working families in need.
Immigrant Services: The Immigrant Services
Program is designed to stabilize and support
immigrants by offering citizenship assistance, INS documentation services and mobilizing the faith community to
provide acceptance and integration of immigrant families into the community.
Volunteer Services & Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP):
Volunteering keeps seniors 55 and over active and involved in the community. At
any age, volunteering builds community interaction and self-esteem. Adults and
youth are encouraged to share their time and talents in a variety of community
service projects to discover the joy of helping others in need.
In-Home Services: Our caring In-Home
Services staff provides homemaking services, personal
care and advanced personal care services for the elderly and disabled in a four
county area. Family members caring for an elderly loved one can receive training
and respite care through InterServ’s Caregivers Support Services
and our
Professional Medical Services division offers medication evaluation services to
elderly clients.
Senior Meals Programs: Two Senior Meals Sites
offer healthy noon meals
for those over 60. In addition to fighting food insecurity and malnutrition we
work to relieve loneliness and depression among the elderly.
Mobile Meals: The Mobile Meals Program
depends on volunteer drivers to deliver hot noon meals to homebound
elderly and the disabled who are unable to prepare their own meals.
